DiMatteo Insurance Service Center promotes two, hires one

SHELTON, CONN. - The DiMatteo Insurance Service Center, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, recently promoted Sue Doolan of Orange, Conn., to commercial lines support, and Donna Monks of Trumbull, Conn., to commercial lines account manager; and hired Alice McCarthy of Seymour, Conn., as health benefits account manager.

As commercial lines support, Doolan provides customer service and administrative support for DiMatteo's commercial lines accounts. With the agency since 2005, she also has served as DiMatteo's health benefits manager and administrative assistant. With more than 10 years experience in the insurance industry, Doolan has worked for Aetna Life and Casualty, Trumbull, Conn., and Metropolitan Property and Liability Insurance Co., Rocky Hill, Conn. She is licensed an insurance adjuster in Connecticut and she earned her bachelor of science degree in biology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Mass.

As commercial lines account manager, Monks serves as a liaison for customers and carriers in DiMatteo's commercial lines business. She joined DiMatteo Insurance Service Center in 2003 as a personal lines senior account manager. In 2007, she was recognized for her professionalism with the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research's Outstanding Customer Service Representative of the Year award. Monks earned her bachelor of arts degree from Montclair State University, Upper Montclair, N.J.

As health benefits account manager, McCarthy fields all health benefits service calls and answers general questions, billing issues, coverage and endorsement questions. Prior to joining DiMatteo, she worked for 15 years MHN-Healthnet Inc., Shelton, Conn., holding positions ranging from senior broker coordinator to manager of account services, and most recently account manager for the Northeast. McCarthy attended the Stone Business School, New Haven, Conn., and currently is pursuing her bachelor of arts in business management from the University of Phoenix.
