PIACT to honor DiMatteo as Professional Agent of the Year

HARTFORD, Conn. - Victoria DiMatteo, CIC, co-owner of A.A. DiMatteo Insurance Service Center in Shelton, Conn., received the Professional Insurance Agents of Connecticut Inc.'s Professional Agent of the Year award today during the association's Annual Convention at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn.

The Professional Agent of the Year award goes to an agent who has demonstrated excellence and achievement in insurance marketing and service, has shown a personal commitment to professionalism and has contributed to PIA and the community.

"Throughout her career, Victoria has demonstrated a deep level of dedication to our industry. She has earned the respect and trust of her colleagues and customers," said Christopher Wilson, CIC, CLU, CPCU, newly elected president of PIACT. "PIACT is very pleased to name Victoria for this award."

Active in PIACT, DiMatteo is a member of the Connecticut Young Insurance Professionals, an affiliate of PIACT, which promotes the professional and personal growth of those new to the insurance field by providing education and networking opportunities.

In her community, DiMatteo frequently lectures on insurance topics to new agents looking to acquire their real estate licenses. She also is a member for the Center for Family Business in New Haven and is a participant in the Shelton and Bethany Day, supporting the Child Identification Program. She also served as chairperson of the Town of Trumbull Insurance Committee and was a committee member for the Greater New Haven Board of Realtors golf event.

PIACT is a trade association representing professional, independent insurance agencies, brokerages and their employees throughout the state.
